Lead Designer of Anna Wakeham Interiors, Anna Wakeham runs a Personal Shopping for Interiors service perfect for the client looking to style their own property with the help of a trained and experienced guiding hand. We work by the day (or half day) and days are spent largely but not exclusively at The Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour helping clients with all their Interior needs. The day is yours to spend as you wish – we are able to help you with sourcing fabrics, furniture, lighting and art, or to go through schemes, mood boards, architects plans or floorplans as you wish. We are used to work on large country houses, townhouses and flats and can accommodate everything in between.
This is a great option for a client looking for a cost effective way of working with an Interior Designer.
All interior goods purchased through us are eligible for our discounted pricing. For around 90% of clients the cost of the Interior Shopping Day is saved by purchasing items through us.

At Anna Wakeham Interiors, we have refined our Personal Shopping Service into a seamless and enjoyable process designed around your needs.
This is what you can expect from us:
Step 1: Understanding your style and vision
The journey begins with an initial free 30 minute phone consultation where we discuss your needs, your property, your style preferences, functional needs, budget, and vision for your space. Whether you love timeless elegance, modern minimalism, or a mix of both, we tailor our selections to reflect your taste and lifestyle.
Step 2: Expertise in space planning
Deciding where to locate furniture in a room can be difficult, and our help here prior to shopping will be invaluable. We offer a range of services to help you with your home – we are happy to help with furniture locating, floorplans, paint colour schemes, wallpapers, lighting and furniture and more, so depending on your brief we will then discuss next steps. Either way, we will create a plan for you and discuss next steps in our journey.
Step 3: Keeping up with design trends
While our recommendation is to design for a timeless interior, we recognise there are times where clients will be after something particular for their interior. We keep on top of interior trends and new products and are happy to advise accordingly.
Step 4: Shopping visits
Most Interior Shopping Days begin in London and are held largely, but not uniquely at The Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. This is the home of Interior Design, the largest of its kind in Europe and showcasing over 600 international brands. Depending on the brief we will meet mid morning for a coffee and a chance to confirm our plans before moving to showrooms to look at options for you. Depending on the client brief, there are plenty of other areas for us to visit, including Notting Hil and the Pimlico Road and even Mayfair for Art Galleries.
Step 5: Personalised Shopping Experience
Once we have finalised selections and we have discussed this with you, we handle the purchasing process and arrange delivery and installation on your behalf. Because of the trade discount we are able to receive, it will ensure it is cheaper to purchase interior goods through us. We are also able to source from trade only suppliers, details of which we are happy to share with you (when relevant).
Step 6: Styling and finishing touches
After everything has arrived, we offer an optional styling service where we arrange furniture, accessories, and decor to achieve your interior look. Whether it’s positioning statement pieces or adding final decorative touches, we ensure your space looks effortlessly polished and cohesive.

What to Expect
While all our services are bespoke, a suggested shopping trip may look like this:
930am – coffee at Daylesford, Pimlico Road to look through floorplans, furniture sizing and to confirm what the client is looking for
10am – Visit high-end fabric stores on the Pimlico Road, including Soane Britain, Chelsea Textiles and Robert Kime
Noon – In a taxi, head to the Design Centre. Sandwich lunch
1pm – Visit interior stores, putting together options for the client on furniture, lighting, fabrics, bathrooms and flooring.
4pm – Afternoon tea, followed by a debrief. Put together next steps, including potentially ordering product, space planning or mood boards as the client wishes
